B12 with Phosphorus 100ml Cophos B®

Description

B12 WITH PHOSPHORUS injection (Compare to the active ingredients of Nature Vet Cophos B®) is a supplement to buffer lactic acid and also promote muscle function in Racehorses, Dogs and Camels.

COMPOSITION:  Ethanolamine Phosphate 100mg/ml, Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) 50mcg/ml

Actions:  The two major limiting factors in performance are:
1.  Available energy reserves
2.  Adequate red blood cells and oxygen transfer to tissues

Phosphorus is used in large amounts during racing and training.  The longer a camel competes, the higher is its phosphorus loss and the less its endurance.  The high energy phosphorus provided by B12 WITH PHOSPHORUS injection maximizes endurance by ensuring that ATP is able to be replenished rapidly and also counters the high loss of phosphorus from working muscles.  Phosphorus is a major muscle buffer to reduce lactic acid accumulation and improve endurance.

High energy phosphate compounds (glycerophosphates) are vital for proper muscle function and endurance, to ensure that ATP is readily available to fuel muscles over long races without excess lactic acid accumulation and fatigue.

Maximal exertion causes a metabolic acidosis or build up of waste lactic acid in the blood.  Excess lactic acid causes muscle fatigue and thereby causing reduced endurance and performance.  The high energy phosphate released by ATP for maximal exertion helps to buffer the rise in muscle and blood acidity, but this phosphate needs to be recycled to produce more available energy immediately.

Folic acid is unable to be supplemented orally to ruminants, including camels.  It is rapidly destroyed in the rumen.  As Folic acid is absolutely essential as a co factor to Vitamin B12 in the formation of red blood cells, it must be supplemented by injection at any time a stimulus of the red blood cell count is required.
