Description
Composition
Buserelin acetate (0.0042 mg) is contained in each milliliter (synthetic analogue of GnRH)
Activation Mechanism:
GnRH (Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone) is released in pulses by peptidergic neurons in the hypothalamus. Each pulse causes LH to be released from the anterior lobe of the hypophysis gland, causing intracellular calcium to be produced and increased, protein kynase C to be activated, phosphatidylinositol to be increased, and lastly LH and FSH to be produced and released. These two hormones speed up follicular maturation, which leads to ovulation.
